Mr Peter Taylor B.E.M (CLUB PRESIDENT)
Peter Taylor, BEM, is the president of our club. He has been turning for more years that we can remember and has won many awards for his work. He is also well known for his charity work and will travel miles to fulfil his aims to support those less fortunate than us. For his Charity work he has just been awarded the British Empire Medal and has attended Buckingham Palace to have tea with the Queen. He has a great sense of humour and even at his age he has an eye for the ladies which we hope this little poem reflects..
Our Friend Peter
Our friend Peter, he is the leader of our club,
He will turn anything from a tree to a shrub,
He joins us this evening to enjoy a tasty meal,
A pleasant nice gesture most of us do feel,
He is known for his generosity with most things that he does,
But what his mind is thinking is way beyond us,
Some of us know Peter, better than he thinks,
He’s not just here for the meal; there must be other links,
Of course it’s the little presents he never fails miss,
He gives to all the lovely ladies, just to get his kiss,
his behaviour not just this evening I’m sorry to say,
It happened at the AGM, where he barged me out of the way,
With hot air surrounding him, most of which he dismisses,
With his lips all poised, and dribbling, he’s waiting for his kisses,
Now Jenny, she knows what’s coming and is always expecting it,
But soon she going to be disappointed, he not going to be so fit,
Most women think he’s adorable and are always cuddling him,
Now I think the reason, he’s charming, aged and thin,
